Zone7's AI flagged 72% of injuries in advance

In a validation study covering 11 professional football teams and 423 injuries across the 2019-2021 seasons, Zone7’s machine-learning system flagged elevated injury risk in the one to seven days before 306 of those injuries - a 72.4 percent detection rate. Injuries that had been flagged accounted for 65.4 percent of the player-days lost, and on 80 percent of days no more than three players were marked high-risk.
