On July 27, 2026, Anthropic and Cognizant announced an expanded partnership that makes Cognizant a Global Premier Partner in the Claude Partner Network, the network’s top tier. The agreement builds on a partnership first announced in late 2025 and covers both Cognizant’s internal engineering and the systems it builds and operates for clients.
The workforce numbers are the substance of it. More than 30,000 Cognizant associates have completed Claude training. Under a new Frontier Certified workforce model, Cognizant is targeting 5,000 certified engineers and 10,000 certified business operators, with a certification pipeline of 40,000 professionals out of a total base of more than 350,000 associates. Claude is being embedded in Cognizant’s own platforms, including Flowsource, whose spec-driven development module uses Claude Code, along with Neuro AI Engineering and Neuro IT Ops.
The release cites deployed results: a customer experience portal delivered for a global manufacturer in six months, an agentic contract-intelligence system in life sciences that cut review time by up to 40 percent with extraction accuracy above 88 percent, and an insurance risk-navigation tool that reduced manual underwriter research from hours to about a minute, saving roughly eight hours per person per week.
Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S framed the rationale as an absorption problem: “AI capability is rising faster than enterprises can absorb it, and that gap is the defining problem of this moment.” Anthropic co-founder and president Daniela Amodei said deepening the partnership “will help more companies harness AI’s growing capability and deploy it in real, practical ways.” For the AI economy the signal is about distribution, not models. The constraint on frontier-model revenue is increasingly the supply of people who can integrate the models into systems enterprises already run, and the large systems integrators are the channel being retrained to close that gap.
